DUI Classes & Programs

Atascadero DUI Defense Attorney

If you are convicted of a DUI-related offense in California, you will have to pay for and attend mandatory classes and/or counseling under a certified DUI program. The type and length of program you will be required to attend will vary depending on the nature of your conviction and whether you have previous DUI convictions on your record. DUI programs are licensed by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

DUI classes and programs are meant to help offenders get the treatment and help they need to avoid future DUI offenses. You must complete a certified DUI program in order to maintain or reestablish your driver’s license after a DUI arrest, with final approval by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). An Atascadero DUI lawyer at the 805 Law Group can explain more about DUI programs and what they may mean to you.
